A ‘flip’ is a shaken whole-egg cocktail; it is fluffy, creamy and weighty. Here, a classic negroni is given a makeover

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
30ml gin
30ml campari
30ml sweet vermouth, such as Martini Rosso
2 teaspoons sugar syrup
1 large egg
ice cubes
2 thin orange slices, to garnish

Method

  1. Measure the spirits and the sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add the egg along with a handful of ice. Shake furiously for 20 seconds. Strain into two glasses and garnish with a slice of orange.
