Almond milk is a great milk alternative with a subtle, nutty flavour. Use it in porridge, drizzle it over breakfast cereals or use as a milk substitute in pancakes and cake batters.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup whole almonds
2 cups filtered, boiling water

Method

  1. Place the almonds in a jar and pour the boiling water over the top. Allow to sit for 15 minutes, or soak overnight.
  2. When ready, pour the almonds and water into a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Pass the liquid through a fine sieve and discard the skins. Almond milk can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
