Seared swordfish with avocado salsa

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 swordfish steaks
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
freshly ground black pepper
salt

Avocado salsa

Quantity Ingredient
1 avocado, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons coriander leaves
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 spring onions, finely sliced
1 tomato, finely diced
1 dash tabasco sauce, optional
freshly ground black pepper
salt

To serve

Quantity Ingredient
lime wedges
rocket leaves
or baby spinach

Method

  1. Heat a chargrill or frypan over a high heat. Season the fish with the oil, salt and pepper, and grill until just cooked through, for 2–3 minutes each side.
  2. For the avocado salsa, place all the ingredients in a bowl and stir very gently to combine.
  3. Serve the steaks with the avocado salsa, green leaves and lime wedges.
