Breakfasts are famously the most important meal of the day – a fact I’ve found to be especially true while at university. If I start the day with a fresh healthy breakfast, such as a fresh fruit smoothie or fruit salad, I usually feel more like eating healthily as the day goes on too. There are times, however, when only a serious fry-up will do. The traditional Saturday morning fry-up after a heavy Friday night is a must, and I know that my housemates all love the smell of frying bacon. It’s amazing how many people discover an appetite at the mention of the words ‘fry-up’. And don’t underestimate the power of what a good egg can do either.
