Method

  1. Follow the kukuye sibzamini recipe, using 500 g butternut pumpkin or similar yellow firm pumpkin instead of the potatoes.
  2. Boil and drain, return to the heat and let the excess moisture evaporate. Mash to a purée, add a little sugar and continue as directed in the recipe.
