The taste and scent of rosewater can be overpowering if used in excess, but just a splash of it adds an exotic taste to any fruit. This mint rosewater with fruit is slightly sweetened and is a refreshing drink in the summer.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
small handful fresh mint, plus 5 whole mint leaves
300g sugar
50g lemons, quartered
1 tablespoon rosewater
1 orange, sliced
2 lemons, sliced
ice cubes, to serve

Method

  1. In a food processor, blend together 1.5 litres water, the handful of mint, sugar and quartered lemons.
  2. Strain through a colander and add the rosewater, orange and lemon slices and the whole mint leaves.
  3. Serve over ice cubes.
