Ingredients

120g cooked or canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon mild smoked paprika
salt
pepper

Method

  1. Dry the chickpeas and rub them vigorously with kitchen towel to remove the skin. Fry them in the olive oil for 10 minutes or until crunchy and golden. Drain on kitchen towel, then put in a bowl and mix with the spices and season with salt and pepper. Leave to cool before sprinkling over the finished salad.
