Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
200g sourdough or farmhouse bread, or ciabatta, cut into 1.5 cm cubes
100ml melted butter, duck fat or olive oil
2 tablespoons herbs, such as oregano thyme, flat-leaf parsley or a mixture, snipped
1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
salt
pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Combine all the ingredients and spread them on a baking tray. Bake for 10 – 15 minutes until the croutons are crunchy and golden. Leave to cool before adding to the salad.
