Served almost every day, this is one of the most favourite salads in every Turkish home. You will break a piece of bread, dip it into the juices, pop it straight into your mouth and life is good!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500g vine-ripened tomatoes
2 lebanese cucumbers
1 red onion
2 long green chillies
30g chopped flat-leaf parsley
100ml extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
bread, to serve

Method

  1. Chop the tomatoes, cucumbers and onion into small bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl. Thinly slice the chillies and add to the bowl.
  2. Add the parsley, olive oil and lemon juice and toss to combine.
  3. Season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve with your favourite bread.
