When we were children, Baba would give us spending money. I would spend all my money on chocolate bars. My sister would hide hers, then send me to the corner store to buy her Turkish delight and biscuits. Her favourites were hazelnut and coconut Turkish delight and plain sweet biscuits. She would put the Turkish delight between two biscuits and then squeeze, making tiny curls of delight through the holes. Her face would light up like a shining moon.
