Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 lebanese cucumbers
or 2 medium-sized cucumbers
2 red chillies, seeded
1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
2 tablespoons white vinegar
water, if required
salt, to taste

Method

  1. Wash the cucumbers, cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds, but do not peel them. Now slice them across into strips. Slice the chillies into rounds and mix with the cucumbers. Mix the sugar and vinegar together, add water to taste if you wish and heat to dissolve the sugar. Add salt to taste, cool, pour over the cucumber and serve.
