500g lean pork, shredded
2 tablespoons soya sauce
1-2 teaspoons sugar
pinch freshly ground white pepper
1 teaspoon cornflour
1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped

Method

  1. Mix the meat with soya sauce, sugar, pepper and cornflour. Heat the vegetable oil and lightly fry the garlic until fragrant. Throw in the seasoned meat, and stir-fry until it is cooked. Add a dash of water to moisten, stir to mix and serve.
  2. This dish may be made with sliced onion instead of garlic for a change. Slice a large brown onion, fry the slices lightly in the hot oil first, then add the seasoned meat and cook as above.
