Yoghurt and walnut sauce

This is perfect with fish and seafood – particularly calamari.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon pine nuts
20g walnuts, roughly chopped
75ml plain turkish or greek-style yoghurt
1/2 garlic clove
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dill, finely chopped
salt, to taste

Method

  1. Lightly toast the pine nuts in a dry pan. Remove from the pan immediately. In a pestle and mortar, pound the pine nuts and walnuts until finely ground. Mix with all the other ingredients. Taste and add a little salt if necessary.
