A light flavoursome smoothie with soft tones of raw carrot and ginger. The trick for this smoothie is to blend the apple juice and carrot for a good three or four minutes. This is a great detox drink, with lots of vitamin A.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 small carrot, finely grated
1 teaspoon finely chopped root ginger
300ml apple juice
1 ripe pear, peeled, such as Conference

Method

  1. Blend the carrot, ginger and apple juice for three to four minutes until smooth. Peel, quarter and core the pear and drop gently into the mix. Blend for one final minute.
