Dahi chutney is a chopped coriander and mint chutney with green chillies and yoghurt. It is quite spicy and is traditionally served with Hyderabadi biryani. It is thicker and chunkier than Green chutney, more like a raita in texture. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to two days.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
250g plain yoghurt
1 onion, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
small handful mint leaves, chopped
small handful coriander leaves, chopped
1/2-1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Method

  1. Mix together the yoghurt, onion, chilli, mint, coriander and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Chill the chutney in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, until the flavours have infused, or until ready to serve.
