This Mexican twist on the classic New York City cocktail, the Manhattan, is classy and smooth with an edge. Made with aged tequila, cherry liqueur and sweet vermouth, this cocktail oozes sweet sophistication. It’s best served with a single large chunk of ice and garnished with a maraschino cherry.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
60ml anejo tequila
30ml heering cherry liqueur
30ml sweet vermouth
1 large chunk ice, to serve
maraschino cherry, to garnish

Method

  1. Pour the tequila, cherry liqueur and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass and gently stir. Place the chunk of ice in a chilled highball or martini glass. Pour the cocktail over the ice and garnish with a cherry.
