Grissini are an essential addition to an antipasto plate as they are perfect finger food. They can be wrapped with thin slices of prosciutto or served with all kinds of dips.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 quantity Basic pizza dough
sesame seeds or poppy seeds, (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Roll the dough into a 20 cm x 30 cm x 2 cm rectangle. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into 2 cm strips. Press lightly into your choice of sesame or poppy seeds (if using) or twist each strip along its length. Transfer to the baking tray and bake for 10 minutes, until crisp and golden brown.
  3. Transfer to a wire rack to cool before serving, or store in an airtight container.
