Being a Latin restaurant we always challenge ourselves to come up with interesting and refreshing margarita flavours. The sweetness of the cantaloupe and the smoky spiciness of the chipotle achieves just that.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
salt
small handful roughly diced rockmelon, plus a small wedge, for garnish (optional)
1 teaspoon chipotle in adobo
45ml tequila blanco, (at the restaurant we use Tromba Blanco)
15ml lime juice
ice cubes

Method

  1. Dip the moistened rim of a martini glass in salt until well coated.
  2. Muddle the melon and chipotle in a cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients, then fill with ice and shake.
  3. Double strain into the prepared martini glass and garnish with a wedge of melon, if desired.
