Vanilla sugar is fabulous for sprinkling over fruits and for cooking cakes and biscuits. It also makes a great gift.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
vanilla beans, broken into pieces
granulated sugar

Method

  1. To make, simply place one or as many vanilla beans as you can spare in a blender. Add granulated sugar to capacity and whiz on and off until the bean has been processed through the sugar, giving it an ashy look. Store immediately in glass jars with lids or in a sugar canister.
