Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500g swedes, peeled and cubed
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
30g butter
60ml cream
freshly ground black pepper
salt

Method

  1. Put swedes and potatoes in a saucepan of cold salted water, bring to the boil and boil until tender. Drain, and mash well, purée in a food processor or push through a sieve.
  2. Return the purée to the cleaned saucepan and place over low heat. Beat in butter and cream, season with salt and plenty of black pepper to taste and serve very hot.
