Ingredients

85g raisins
500ml water
230g brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cornflour
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons cider vinegar

Method

  1. Simmer raisins in water for 5 minutes. Combine brown sugar, cornflour, ginger and vinegar, add to pan and cook, stirring, until thickened. Serve hot or cold with ham steaks or tongue.
