Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
225g rolled oats
110g raw sugar
125g butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 teaspoon black treacle, (optional)
1 tablespoon sultanas
2 tablespoons dried apricots, chopped

Method

  1. Combine rolled oats and sugar.
  2. Melt butter, add honey, syrup and molasses and combine thoroughly. Pour over oats and sugar. Add sultanas and apricots and stir well.
  3. Place in a greased slice tin and smooth top. Bake in a preheated moderate oven for 20–25 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm and remove from tin when cold. Store in an airtight container.
