Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
24 fresh oysters, on the half-shell
rock salt
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
30g butter
4 rashers lean bacon, rind removed, finely chopped
freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Arrange oysters on a bed of rock salt in an ovenproof dish, or directly on the grill tray.
  2. Heat Worcestershire sauce and butter to simmering point. Spoon a little butter mixture over each oyster and sprinkle with bacon. Season with pepper. Place under a preheated grill for 3–4 minutes or until oysters are plump and bacon crisp.
