Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500g round, topside or skirt steak

Marinade

Quantity Ingredient
125ml orange juice
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 orange, peeled and sliced, to garnish
sprigs fresh coriander or parsley, to garnish

Method

  1. Lightly score steak in a diamond pattern on each side.
  2. Combine ingredients for marinade in a glass dish. Add steak, turn to coat, cover and refrigerate for 6–8 hours, turning occasionally.
  3. Drain steak, reserving 2 tablespoons marinade. Pat steak dry with paper towels. Lightly oil grill rack. Grill steak under a preheated grill for 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare meat.
  4. Transfer meat to a heated platter. Cut it across grain into thin slices and sprinkle with reserved marinade. Garnish platter with orange slices and sprigs of coriander or parsley.
