Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 tablespoons olive oil
500g open mushrooms, thickly sliced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
freshly ground black pepper
salt

Method

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan, add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Add garlic and oregano and season with salt and black pepper. Toss well. Serve as a vegetable accompaniment to meats or poultry, or on hot buttered toast at lunch or supper.
