This interesting way with fresh oranges is easy to prepare, but the taste is exotic. Use your prettiest plates for serving and eat with a knife and fork.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large orange, for each person
brown sugar
cinnamon
rosewater
fresh lemon or mint leaves

Method

  1. Peel each orange carefully, taking care to remove all white pith. Slice across with a sharp knife into very thin slices.
  2. Arrange slices on individual plates, overlapping them slightly to form a pretty circular pattern. Sprinkle liberally with brown sugar and cinnamon and then with rosewater. Garnish with fresh lemon or mint leaves, or even a pretty garden leaf, and serve at once.
