Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
750g onions, sliced
125ml water
90g light sour cream
3 tablespoons sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Cook onions in water over a gentle heat for about 10 minutes. Drain and place in a greased ovenproof dish. Mix cream, sherry, salt and pepper and pour over onions. Cover and bake in a preheated moderate oven for 30 minutes.
