Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
175g dark molasses
350g honey
350g golden syrup
125g butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
or 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Method

  1. Place all ingredients except vanilla or lemon juice in a heavy saucepan. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until mixture is well combined and hot but below boiling point. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla or lemon juice. Serve poured over pancakes.
