An excellent quick meal for one.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
185g button mushrooms, sliced
30g butter
1 tablespoon plain flour
freshly ground black pepper
190ml milk
60ml cream
pinch nutmeg
2 slices toast, buttered
parsley, chopped
salt

Method

  1. Sauté mushrooms in butter. Sprinkle over flour and stir until well blended. Season with salt and pepper. Add milk, cream and nutmeg and bring to the boil, stirring. Serve on freshly buttered toast, topped with parsley.
