Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3-4 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
30g butter, cut into small pieces
piece lemon peel

Method

  1. Put apples into a small, heavy saucepan. Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter and lay peel on top.
  2. Cover and cook over low heat for 15–20 minutes or until tender, turning slices over gently from time to time. Serve hot or cold with cream.
