A recipe that swept the world – a way of turning chicken pieces into an exotic dish with only 3 ingredients.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large roasting chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 packet french onion soup mix
250ml tinned apricot nectar
tinned apricot halves, to garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Arrange chicken pieces in one layer in a casserole. Sprinkle with soup mix and pour nectar over. Cover and bake in a preheated moderate oven for 40 minutes or until chicken is tender, turning the pieces once or twice. If desired, garnish with tinned apricots heated in a little syrup from the tin.
