Anchovy appetiser turnovers

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/2 x 375 g packet frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 x 55 g tins rolled, stuffed anchovy fillets, drained
1 egg yolk, lightly beaten

Method

  1. Roll out thawed packet pastry thinly. Cut out 5 cm rounds, wet edges and place an anchovy on one side of each. Fold other sides over, press with a fork to seal and chill for 30 minutes. Brush tops with egg yolk and bake in a preheated very hot oven for 15 minutes or until turnovers are puffed and golden.
