Method

  1. Unlike cider, it is not important to use a variety of apples, but feel free to experiment if you have several varieties of apples on hand. Put the washed whole apples through a juicer or fruit press, then pour the juice into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then strain through muslin into warm sterilised bottles and seal immediately. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months. Refrigerate after opening.
