This chapter is based on the sixth chakra, which is also known as the third eye, the organ of inner perception, where wisdom and intuition are formed. Opening our third eye allows us to see the bigger picture, to find wholeness, bringing with it both meaning and purpose. While each chakra feeds us new information about ourselves, it is the task of the sixth chakra to assemble that information into a recognisable picture. This self-reflection and deeper inner-knowledge leads to a wholeness within ourselves.
Many of the ingredients in this chapter include mood-enhancing foods such as matcha and raw cacao. Ingredients which help with our concentration, memory and focus are also prominent as are foods designed to nurture the nervous system, such as chamomile, lemon verbena and black sesame seeds.
It’s in this chapter that an understanding of our true health can be found. No longer concerned by mere symptoms, our minds are able to process and see the body as a complete system. Reaching this place in our yogic evolution means that we are able to finally listen to what our bodies need and act accordingly.
