Packed with protein and energising ingredients, this smoothie will wake you up and keep you fuelled! This is one of my favourite smoothies to make when I’ve slept in and am running late, as it knocks together two cravings in one – coffee and smoothie. Ah-mazing! Insanely creamy, with the addition of avocado and frozen banana; it’s the perfect morning drink for when you just have to get up and GO!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large banana, frozen and peeled, about 150 g
1/4 avocado, flesh only, about 40 g
125ml cold brewed coffee
or chilled espresso
375ml almond milk, chilled
2 1/2 tablespoons abc (almond, brazil and cashew butter)
or nut or seed butter
1 tablespoon tahini
2 medjool dates, pitted, about 40 g
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup, optional
1/2 teaspoon cordyceps powder
or reishi powder, optional

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into two glasses and enjoy immediately.
