Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
500g chuck steak, cut into 2 cm cubes
2 onions, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3/4 cup coconut milk
3 tablespoons coconut cream
1/2 cup vegetable stock
1 tablespoon tamari
1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
rice, steamed, to serve

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a wok over high heat and brown the meat all over. Remove the meat from the wok and set aside.
  2. Reduce the heat, add the remaining oil to the wok and sauté the onions until golden. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Return the meat to the wok, add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the meat is tender. Serve with steamed rice.
