Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup plain flour
1 cup warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Mix the flour, water, salt and pepper in a bowl until they form a moist dough. Mix in cumin seeds, parsley and olive oil. Leave to rest for half an hour.
  2. Preheat the grill to 250°C. Take 3 tablespoons of dough and flatten into a disc. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Evenly space the chubiz on a hot oven tray. (Ensure the tray is hot to avoid the dough sticking.) Grill until golden brown.
