Three ingredients, made for each other with a little bit of mellow yellow mustard. This will make your mouth zing!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 ciabatta or sub roll, halved lengthways
50g grated gruyère
2 frankfurters, halved lengthways
1/2 tablespoon sauerkraut

Method

  1. Spread the mustard on one half of the bread and sprinkle half of the cheese over the top.
  2. Add the frankfurters, then spread the sauerkraut over the top and finish with the rest of the cheese. Close the sandwich.
  3. Heat a frying pan to medium-hot and put the sandwich into the pan. Let it cook for 3 minutes on one side, then turn the sandwich over and cook for 2 minutes on the other side. The bread should be crispy and the cheese gooey. Alternatively, cook the sandwich in a toasted sandwich maker or a panini press.
