This is a wonderfully simple version of an Asian sweet and sour sauce that we use for dipping steamed vegetables or dumplings in. See the mushroom and tofu dumplings recipe.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
225g dried plums, pitted
120ml water
2 tablespoons lemon juice, or more to taste
2 tablespoons clear honey

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add more water or lemon juice if needed. Store in a screw-topped jar in the fridge. It will keep for several weeks.
