Before we are ready to bring out the blender, we wanted to share a couple of basic recipes that we refer to in many places throughout the book. It’s our method for making creamy nut and seed butters that add richness and take your blends to the next level. Crunchy granola clusters that we often top our smoothies and bowls with. Delightful chia puddings that are great little snacks and perfect for making layered parfaits. And an unsweetened muesli recipe that we add to our breakfast smoothies for extra sustenance and texture.

All these basic recipes are on regular rotation in our house, but we often change them up a bit depending on what we have at home. We sometimes add dried fruit to our granola, lime zest into our chia pudding or mix a little maple syrup and cinnamon into our nut butter. We recommend that you do the same and make these your own.
