Surprise… it’s not all about staying on your best behaviour. Sometimes we need a little treat. When it comes to heart health, a bit of red wine here and there can be your friend. This summery drink is very refreshing and full of important compounds for heart health, too.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
pomegranate juice, (not anything labelled ‘juice drink’)
blood orange juice
red wine

Method

  1. Take a red wine glass, fill one-quarter with pomegranate juice, one-quarter with blood orange juice, then top up with a red wine of your choice.
  2. You can add a little ice, too, if you like.

Note

  • Good source of flavonoids and carotenoids.
