Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon peanut oil
250g green beans, sliced
1 tablespoon garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon Sambal ulek
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 small onion, finely sliced

Method

  1. Heat the peanut oil in a wok or large heavy-based frying pan over high heat. Add the beans and toss in the oil for 2 minutes, then add the garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the sambal ulek and salt and stir-fry for 1 minute further — the beans should be tender but still crisp. Remove from the heat, mix in the onion and serve as an accompaniment to a rice and curry meal.
