A beautiful drink to look at with its three distinct layers, a vodkacino is full of contrasting textures, flavours and temperatures. Cold cream tempers the hot, bitter espresso, which in turn is sweetened and complemented by hazelnut vodka.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
hazelnut vodka
freshly made espresso coffee
double cream
sweetened chocolate powder

Method

  1. Fill a shot glass, preferably a stemmed hand-cut crystal shot glass from Poland, two-thirds full with hazelnut vodka. Pouring over a spoon, layer freshly made espresso coffee to about 5 mm (¼ inch) from the top of the glass. Carefully layer cold double cream over the coffee. Top the whole thing with sweetened chocolate powder like you would use on a cappuccino. Drink it in one go!
