This is a very old drink combination. I believe the Poles have been mixing these two together for at least 150 years. In Poland it is called the equivalent of ‘Apple Pie’, though at Borsch, Vodka and Tears we serve another drink by that name so we went with Bison and Apple. The sweet spice notes from the bison grass match very well with cloudy apple juice. This is the version we serve at the bar, at home I quite like to double the vodka, it’s delicious.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
30ml Żubrówka vodka
1/4 lime, cut into 2 wedges
120ml cloudy apple juice

Method

  1. Fill a 295 ml highball glass to the brim with ice. Add the vodka, squeeze in the lime juice and drop the wedges into the glass. Top with cloudy apple juice and serve immediately.
