Pretty and easy, these dressed-up marshmallows are dipped in candy melts, which come in lots of different colours. If your sweet tooth lends itself more to chocolatey treats, you could also try these dipped in white or dark chocolate. Sit them in mini cupcake cases and pack them in layers into a chocolate box or cute tin, layers separated with baking paper, to make an enticing gift.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
400g candy melts
1-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
20 marshmallows
sprinkles, to decorate

Method

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Melt the candy melts by following the instructions on the packet and stir in the oil until the candy is smooth and runny. Set the candy melts aside to cool slightly.
  3. Once the candy melts have cooled, stick a toothpick into the bottom of the first marshmallow and carefully dip it all the way into the melted candy until the marshmallow is completely covered. Gently tap off the excess candy, place the dipped marshmallow on the lined baking tray and decorate it with the sprinkles.
  4. Repeat until all of the marshmallows have been dipped and decorated, then set them aside to dry. Once they are all dry, transfer them to mini cupcake cases. Store in a tin or an airtight container for up to a week.
