This has always been one of my favourite smoothies, as it not only tastes delicious (and has many simple variants) but it also gives you all the energy you need until lunch. If you include the optional oats, it’s like a raw, smooth porridge.

I like to use oat or almond milk for this. Try substituting the cinnamon with cocoa powder and adding a shot of coffee for a mocha version to really get your morning started with a bit of a kick.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
375ml milk
3 bananas, peeled
4-8 dates
30g oats
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients together, adding more or less milk, as you like until you reach the consistency desired.
