Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500ml water
1 tablespoon regular black tea
500ml full-fat milk
3-4 tablespoons caster sugar
12 green cardamom pods
5 black peppercorns
1 cinnamon stick
4-5 whole cloves

Method

  1. Start by bringing the water to the boil in a large saucepan. Add the tea, pour in the milk and add the sugar and spices. Bring to the boil again, and then reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Simmer for 4-5 minutes. Taste the tea, and strain through a fine sieve before serving.
