The Great Gatsby

  • In a novel that is so evocative of New York, it might seem strange that Daisy fixes her cruel husband, Tom, a Mint Julep. Strange, that is, until you remember she is from Kentucky where the mint julep was invented. The subsequent julep-fuelled binge ends in heartbreak and disaster for our man Gatsby. So beware flighty girls bearing mint juleps.
